Port of Aberdeen appoints new Financial Controller

Port of Aberdeen has appointed Ross MacRae as its new Financial Controller, strengthening the organisation’s commitment to strong financial governance and long-term sustainable growth.

Ross joined the port as a member of the functional leadership team on Monday 25 August and reports to Chief Financial Officer, Jon Oakey. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) with more than 20 years’ experience in senior financial roles across oil and gas, construction, and energy logistics industries – most recently as Financial Controller for Peterson Energy Logistics.

In his new role, Ross is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Finance Department and leads the financial reporting cycle. His remit covers corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, and budget and forecast preparation. He also oversees payroll and taxation, as well as the development of internal policies and procedures.
