Meet us on stand F21

The world's largest dedicated floating offshore wind exhibition and conference returns to Aberdeen.

Unlocking value for renewables projects

Port of Aberdeen continues to strengthen its role supporting construction, operations and maintenance activity across Scotland’s east coast offshore wind projects. Our £420 million investment in South Harbour provides deepwater berths, heavy-lift quaysides and expansive laydown areas, positioning Aberdeen to support commercial-scale floating wind.

Floating wind projects need an efficient strategy for replacing major components throughout their operational lives. We believe the answer is a shared UK facility for major component replacement (MCR), combining deepwater port infrastructure with a dedicated quayside ring crane.

Aberdeen is the natural home for an MCR hub: the closest major port to 80% of the floating project pipeline and backed by port infrastructure, transport links and an established offshore supply chain with decades of North Sea expertise. A hub here is supported by developers and would create new jobs, generate significant GVA, and support the transition of skills.
